A prompt structure that stays controllable
Subject + action + environment + camera + lighting + timing + sound. The order is not a magic syntax; it is a checklist that prevents important production details from being omitted. Use concrete nouns and verbs, then ask for one primary camera move.
For a five-second clip, avoid packing a full storyboard into one paragraph. A single shot with a visible action is easier to assess and easier to revise.
Three prompts from real ZipReel outputs
Product impact
Macro food commercial of a fresh orange dropping into crystal-clear water, slow-motion splash and tiny bubbles, camera glides closer through warm sunlight, vibrant natural color, premium advertising cinematography.
Best when one visible event gives the five-second clip a beginning, impact and finish.
Use this prompt →Character movement
A golden retriever runs through a lavender field at sunrise, low tracking camera moving alongside, flowers bending in the wake, warm rim light, realistic fur motion, cinematic commercial, one continuous shot.
One subject, one travel direction and one tracking move reduce motion conflicts.
Use this prompt →Atmospheric chase
A futuristic motorcycle races through a rain-soaked neon city at night, low chase camera, readable motion blur, reflections streaming across wet asphalt, cinematic science-fiction atmosphere, one continuous shot.
Lighting reflections reinforce direction and speed without adding a second action.
Use this prompt →How to revise a weak result
- If the subject changes identity, remove secondary characters and repeat only the essential subject attributes.
- If motion looks chaotic, choose one action and one camera movement instead of combining pans, zooms and orbit shots.
- If the composition drifts, use image-to-video with a first frame that fixes the opening layout.
- If sound feels generic, name the sound source, distance and timing: “close footsteps, then a distant train horn after two seconds.”
- Change one instruction per iteration so you can identify what improved the result.
